Obverse description The arms of the Bailiwick of Guernsey occupy the centre of the field, depicting a shield charged with three golden lions passant guardant arranged in pale, surmounted by a sprig of foliage as a crest. The date is split to either side of the shield, '19' to the left and '72' to the right. The circular legend around the periphery reads 'BAILIWICK OF GUERNSEY' above and 'TWENTY FIVE PENCE' below, separated by ornamental stops.
