Gibraltar issued this piece as part of the wave of silver proofs produced across British territories for Elizabeth II's Silver Jubilee in 1977. The Crown Agents coordinated much of this output, meaning the coin was almost certainly struck at the Royal Mint rather than on the Rock itself — Gibraltar has never operated its own mint.
