Reverse description The impaled arms of Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip, set at a slight tilt and surrounded by a wreath of interlinked chain and laurel, as designed by Stuart Devlin. The Royal Arms occupy the dexter half of the shield, quartered with the arms of the Duke of Edinburgh on the sinister half. The dates 1947 and 1972 flank the shield above and below respectively, commemorating the Silver Wedding Anniversary. The circular legend around the periphery reads SILVER WEDDING ANNIVERSARY and TWENTY-FIVE PENCE, separated by pellet stops.
