| Beschrijving voorzijde | Right-facing effigy of Queen Elizabeth II wearing a diamond diadem and pearl necklace, after the fourth portrait by Ian Rank-Broadley. The legend QUEEN ELIZABETH II arcs along the left periphery of the outer ring, with TRISTAN DA CUNHA inscribed along the right, and the date 2008 positioned at the base. The portrait is set within the central aluminium bronze disc, framed by a beaded border separating it from the copper-nickel outer ring. |

| Aanvullende informatie |
Tristan da Cunha issues coinage through the authority of the Saint Helena treasury, and these pieces are struck for collector distribution rather than genuine circulation — the island's roughly 250 residents conduct most local exchange informally or through the island's single co-operative store. The 25 pence denomination itself is an anachronism, retained from pre-decimal usage and never standardized into modern British coinage, which makes its persistence on dependent territory issues a minor administrative curiosity.
Emefcy's fourth portrait of Elizabeth II, by Ian Rank-Broadley, was adopted across British territories beginning in 1998.
