正面描述 Red letterpress print on white paper. A decorative rectangular frame encloses the central text area, with the denomination numeral repeated in each corner and along the frame sides; the promissory text and value are centered over a vignette of two dolphins flanking a triton. The Coat of Arms of Greenland appears on both sides of the central vignette, and a large star device at the bottom center identifies this as the Ivigtut branch issue. Serial number printed at the foot of the note.

备注

The "Ivigtut star" designation refers to a small star overprint applied to distinguish notes intended for use at Ivigtut, the cryolite mining settlement on Greenland's southwest coast. Ivigtut was functionally separate from the general trading-post network — the cryolite operation was commercially significant enough, supplying aluminum production in Europe and North America, that its local currency needs were administered distinctly.

The overprint system across the P#4 series was a practical solution to controlling which scrip circulated where, since notes moving between settlements outside their designated area created accounting headaches for Copenhagen administrators. The star variants are the scarcest of the location overprints in this denomination.
