| Obverse description | The obverse features a decorative cruciform monogram of King Haakon VII, composed of interlocking royal cipher elements arranged in a cross pattern centered on the round central hole. Each arm of the cross terminates in a stylized decorative element, with the royal crown surmounting the upper arm. Four repetitions of the royal cypher 'H7' are incorporated symmetrically within the arms of the cross. The date of issue appears at the base of the lower arm, and the overall design is rendered in a bold, geometric art nouveau style within a plain raised border. |
