Beschrijving voorzijde	The obverse is laid out with a central panel flanked by two vertical side panels, all enclosed within a fine-line border. The heading 'VINTEECINCO MIL REIS' runs along the top and bottom margins, with the numeral '25' at each corner. A central intaglio vignette in the upper right of the main panel shows an ox-cart agricultural scene, while the issuer's name 'Banco' and 'Bahia' appears in large letterpress text to either side of it. Below the vignette, manuscript and printed text identifies the series ('4ª Serie'), serial number, and denomination 'VINTEECINCO MIL REIS', with signature lines for 'O PRESIDENTE' and 'O DIRECTOR' of the Caixa do Banco da Bahia.

Beschrijving keerzijde	The reverse is printed in a two-colour scheme of green and rose-red, dominated by a large central guilloche medallion with intricate lathe-work patterns. Two oval guilloche rosettes flank the central medallion on either side, all linked by ornate geometric underprint panels. The design is purely decorative with no figural vignettes, relying entirely on engine-turned lathe-work for visual effect.
