| Obverse description | Central field displays the large numeral '25' in bold relief, below which appears the denomination in Hebrew ('מיל') and Arabic ('ملا') script arranged horizontally. The Hebrew date תש'ח (5708 / 1948) is inscribed in the lower field beneath the denomination legends. The entire central design is framed by a decorative wreath of stylised olive or grain branches, composed of elongated leaves and small roundels, encircling the field and lending the design a distinctly Near Eastern character. The overall composition is uniface in nature, this piece being an obverse trial striking with a plain, unstruck reverse. |
