| 背面描述 | The large numeral '25' dominates the central field in bold relief, with the denomination legend 'לירות' (lirot) inscribed below. Beneath the numeral appears the State of Israel coat of arms, featuring the menorah flanked by olive branches. A trilingual circular legend along the upper rim reads 'ISRAEL' in Latin and 'ישראל' in Hebrew and 'اسرائيل' in Arabic. The date appears along the lower arc in both Gregorian (1977) and Hebrew calendar (תשל״ז) notation, separated by decorative dots. |

Israel's 25th independence anniversary issue, struck in 1977, coincided with one of the most dramatic political ruptures in the country's history — the same year Menachem Begin's Likud party ended nearly three decades of uninterrupted Labor dominance in the Knesset. The half-silver composition was a deliberate cost compromise; earlier independence issues had used .900 fine silver, but rising bullion prices through the mid-1970s forced the Bank of Israel to reduce fineness while maintaining a collectible weight.
