| Obverse description | Central field dominated by the large Arabic numeral '٢٥' (25) superimposed over a stylized outline map of Lebanon, with a Cedar tree motif visible at the center of the map. The Arabic legend 'مصرف لبنان' (Bank of Lebanon) arcs along the upper periphery, while the denomination 'ليرة' (Livres) appears below the numeral and the Arabic date '٢٠٠٢' is inscribed at the bottom. The entire design is enclosed within a fine dotted inner border running parallel to the coin's raised rim. |

| Additional information |
The Banque du Liban introduced this denomination during Lebanon's long post-civil war monetary reconstruction, a period in which the Lebanese pound had already been pegged to the US dollar at 1,507.5 LBP — a rate established in 1997 and held rigidly ever since. By 2002, the 25-livre coin was essentially ceremonial in purchasing power terms, worth fractions of a US cent at the official rate.
