| Obverse description | Central field dominated by the large Arabic numeral '٢٥' (25) superimposed over a stylized outline map of Lebanon, with a Cedar tree motif visible at the center of the map. The Banque du Liban introduced this denomination during Lebanon's long post-civil war monetary reconstruction, a period in which the Lebanese pound had already been pegged to the US dollar at 1,507.5 LBP — a rate established in 1997 and held rigidly ever since. By 2002, the 25-livre coin was essentially ceremonial in purchasing power terms, worth fractions of a US cent at the official rate.
