Bradbury Wilkinson printed this series for Iceland during a period when the Landsbanki functioned simultaneously as a commercial bank and the country's central bank — an institutional overlap that persisted until the Central Bank of Iceland was formally separated in 1961. Halldór Pétursson's involvement in the design gives the note a rare local authorship for an externally printed issue.
P#39 spans four years of issue dates, suggesting steady reissue rather than a single print run.
