Reverse description The reverse field is filled with three lines of Nagari script legend naming the local Kutch ruler, reading 'Rao Shri Desalji', flanked on the left by a trishula (trident) symbol and on the right by a katar (dagger) symbol as dynastic emblems. Below the ruler's name, the Vikram Samvat date 1913 is inscribed in Nagari numerals, corresponding to 1857 CE. The bold, deeply incised Nagari characters are characteristic of the hand-struck gold coinage of the Kutch princely state. The plain gold field provides a simple backdrop to the inscriptions and symbols with no additional border ornamentation.
