目录
| 正面描述 | The state coat of arms of the Transnistrian Moldovan Republic occupies the central field, depicting a Soviet-style emblem featuring a hammer and sickle surmounted by a five-pointed star, framed by sheaves of wheat interspersed with corn cobs and grapevines, and tied at the base with ribbons inscribed 'ПМР' on each side and 'РМН' on the central shield. A rising sun is rendered in relief behind the lower portion of the emblem. The circular legend 'ПРИДНЕСТРОВСКАЯ МОЛДАВСКАЯ РЕСПУБЛИКА' runs along the upper periphery in Cyrillic characters, while the date '2005' appears in large numerals along the lower periphery. |

Transnistria — officially unrecognized by any UN member state — began issuing its own coinage in 2000 after nearly a decade of using Soviet-era kopeck pieces as de facto small change. The 2005 magnetic variant of this denomination was a quiet but deliberate shift: the steel core reduced production costs for a central bank operating under chronic international sanctions and limited hard currency reserves. The "a" suffix in KM#52a distinguishes it from the earlier non-magnetic bronze issue.
