| Obverse description | Central field features the Imperial Russian double-headed eagle, displayed with wings spread, each head surmounted by a separate crown and the ensemble topped by a larger Imperial crown above. The eagle bears the shield of St. George on its breast and holds an orb and sceptre in its talons. The mintmaster initials ФБ appear in the lower field beneath the eagle. The entire device is enclosed within a beaded inner circle, with the Cyrillic weight legend ЧИСТАГО СЕРЕБРА 1 ЗОЛОТНИКЪ 5 ¼ ДОЛЕЙ running around the periphery, separated by a small six-pointed star at top. |
