Obverse description Printed in red, the obverse carries a vignette of Mercury seated at left, a portrait of William of Orange at top center, and a galleon at right. A central underprint reproduces the painting 'Schreiner's Tower in Amsterdam' by Jacob Maris. The face value and issuer legend are rendered in intaglio.
