Obverse description The obverse displays the heraldic arms of the Free City of Danzig at centre, comprising a Maltese cross surmounted by a royal crown, flanked by two rampant lions serving as supporters, all set between two classical columns. The legend 'FREIE STADT DANZIG' is inscribed in Fraktur blackletter script within a framed cartouche at the upper portion of the field. The date '1923' appears in Arabic numerals in the lower exergue. The entire design is enclosed within a beaded border.

Reverse description The reverse depicts a nude male figure of Neptune standing facing three-quarters left, holding a trident diagonally across his body with both hands, his lower body accompanied by a dolphin rising from stylized waves at the base. The denomination '25' appears to the upper left of the figure, with 'Gul den' in Fraktur blackletter script flanking the figure on either side in the middle field. The design rests on a stepped plinth and is enclosed within a beaded border.
