The obverse is vertically oriented and divided into three main sections: an ornate circular cartouche at the top center bearing the numeral value, flanked by decorative scrollwork borders; two square frames with applied dry stamps in the central field; and a rectangular cartouche at the bottom containing the handwritten issue date and denomination. Below the central field, the coat of arms of Austria with laurel and palm branches is rendered, with the coat of arms of Hungary on a pedestal beneath. The entire composition is enclosed within a guilloche-style ornamental border typical of early nineteenth-century Viennese banknote design. |

The reverse is printed in a vertical format and displays a typeset text-based design on plain paper with a decorated border of repeating ornamental motifs along all four edges. The denomination is stated in five languages in separate lines across the central field — German, Hungarian, Czech, Polish, and Italian — in Gothic and italic letterforms. Two hexagonal dry stamp impressions are visible in the central area, and the issuing authority designation appears in a rectangular panel at the base. The overall layout reflects a show-through offset of the obverse printing. |
