| Reverse description | The reverse displays a detailed depiction of the Korean Turtle Ship (Geobukseon), the celebrated 16th-century ironclad warship, shown in three-quarter starboard view with its characteristic armored hull adorned with decorative geometric patterns and a prominent dragon-headed prow at the bow. Two large ribbed sails are fully unfurled above the vessel, with a small flag visible at the stern. The curved legend LE BATEAU CORÉEN DE TORTUE arcs along the upper periphery, and the date 2007 is inscribed in the lower field. The design is executed in fine relief against a deeply mirrored proof background. |
