| Obverse description | The central vignette presents a panoramic tropical landscape framed by two large elephants standing at the left and right margins, with a tall palm tree at left and a broad-canopied tree at right; a coastal scene with a steamship is visible in the right background, while radiating sunburst lines fill the centre behind a large hexagonal watermark reserve. At the upper centre, a guilloche-framed vignette bears the Gallic rooster motif, flanked by ornamental rosettes and serial number panels. The denomination 'Vingt-Cinq Francs' is inscribed in large intaglio lettering across the middle, with the issuing authority, place of issue 'GRAND-BASSAM', date, and two manuscript signature panels below. |
