The upper border carries an octagonal cartouche with a rooster vignette, with serial number panels to either side, while the denomination appears in large letterpress type across the centre. Signatures of the Président and the Administrateur-Directeur appear above the date and place of issue, with the engravers' credits printed in the lower margins. |

Intricate lattice and rosette panels fill the upper centre, and elaborate corner ornaments frame the overall composition, with a central hexagonal void corresponding to the seal position on the face. The designer's credit appears in Latin characters in the lower left margin. |
