| Beschrijving keerzijde | The reverse presents a finely detailed depiction of two giant pandas — an adult and a cub — resting amidst bamboo stalks, rendered in selective rhodium plating that imparts a contrasting silvery finish against the polished gold field. The year 2025 appears in the upper central field, with a circular 20th Anniversary cartouche positioned to the right. A row of five-pointed stars arcs along the left border, and the inscription INVESTMENT STARS is engraved along the upper rim. The fineness and weight legend 1/2 G. 9999 FINEST GOLD is inscribed along the lower rim. |

Burundi's panda-themed bullion issues exist purely as a licensing play — the country has no pandas, no diplomatic panda loan agreements with China, and no meaningful numismatic tradition behind the series. The appeal is entirely to Chinese collector markets, where panda-themed gold from any sovereign issuer commands a premium driven by gift-giving culture rather than numismatic merit. The rhodium selective plating is a relatively recent production technique used by private mints to add visual contrast, applied after striking.
