| Obverse description | The Coat of Arms of Burundi is depicted at centre within a circular cartouche, showing a traditional shield flanked by a drum on each side and surmounted by a lion's head, all rendered in high relief. The circular cartouche is surrounded by an elaborate guilloche wave pattern that fills the entire rectangular field, creating a decorative security-style background.
