Aruba's 1995 commemorative series marking the Atlanta Olympics was issued under the authority of the Centrale Bank van Aruba, which had only existed since 1986 — the island having achieved separate status from the Netherlands Antilles just two years before that. The inclusion of the official Atlanta Games logo required a licensing arrangement with ACOG, the Atlanta Committee for the Olympic Games, which accounts for the logo variant being catalogued separately from issues without it.
