| Obverse description | Central raised circle contains the Arabic numeral '25' above the denomination legend 'فلسا' (Fils) in the field. Below the circle, the dual dates 1379 (Hijri) and 1959 (Gregorian) are inscribed horizontally. Two crossed olive or palm sprigs frame the lower portion of the design, while a bold Arabic legend reading 'الجمهورية العراقية' (Republic of Iraq) arcs prominently across the upper field in stylized calligraphic script.
