| Obverse description | The heraldic coat of arms of the Central Bank of Malta occupies the central field, featuring a quartered shield supported by two armoured knights standing as dexter and sinister supporters, surmounted by a mural crown. A ribbon scroll beneath the shield bears the motto FIDUCIA FORTIS and the founding year 1968. Radiating lines emanate from behind the coat of arms across the entire field, and two eight-pointed Maltese Cross motifs flank the central device at mid-left and mid-right. The legend CENTRAL BANK OF MALTA arcs along the upper periphery, while the denomination 25 EURO is inscribed in large characters at the base. |
