正面铭文 REPUBLIK ÖSTERREICH 2007 25 EURO
背面描述 The turquoise niobium centre portrays an early Etrich Taube monoplane in flight above a hang-glider and its prone pilot, evoking the pioneering history of Austrian aviation. The composition captures both aircraft in dynamic perspective, with mountain silhouettes suggested in the background of the field. In the exergue of the silver ring, a cursive signature inscription appears in raised relief below the central design. The legend LUFTFAHRT IN ÖSTERREICH curves along the upper arc of the silver ring in bold raised lettering.

附加信息

Austria's niobium euro series, launched in 2003, was the first bimetallic coinage to use niobium as a core material anywhere in the world — the Austrian Mint held exclusive rights to the process for years afterward. The 2007 aviation issue coincided with the centenary of the first powered flights in Austria, a milestone in a country that produced several pioneering aeronautical engineers largely overshadowed by the Wright brothers' dominance of the popular record.

The niobium centre changes color depending on the oxide layer applied during minting, making each annual issue visually distinct. That color — a deliberate production variable, not a finishing step — cannot be replicated after striking.
