| 正面描述 | Central field features the heraldic emblem of the Generalitat de Catalunya, the traditional coat of arms of the Catalan government, rendered in high relief. A ring of twelve stars encircles the upper portion of the central device, evoking the European Community motif. Josep Tarradellas spent 38 years in exile — most of them in Saint-Martin-le-Beau in the Loire Valley — before returning to Barcelona in 1977 as the restored President of the Generalitat, the first post-Franco act of institutional recognition for Catalan autonomy. His famous declaration upon arrival, "Ciutadans de Catalunya, ja sóc aquí," became one of the defining phrases of the Spanish Transition. This commemorative was struck sixteen years after that return, and five years after his death in 1988.
The X# prefix in the Krause reference places it outside standard national coinage — technically a regional issue not recognized as legal tender by the Spanish state.
