| Obverse description | High-relief draped bust of Winged Liberty facing left, adapted from Weinman's classic Mercury Dime design of 1916. The effigy depicts a young female figure wearing a winged Phrygian cap, rendered with exceptional sculptural depth. The mint mark 'W' appears in the lower left field, and the designer's monogram 'AW' is positioned to the lower right of the bust.
