Obverse description The national arms of Liberia are displayed centrally, featuring a shield with a sailing ship, palm tree, rising sun, plough, and spade, surmounted by a dove in flight and flanked by scrollwork. A ribbon above the shield bears the national motto, while a second legend 'REPUBLIC OF LIBERIA' appears on a scroll below the shield. The date '2000' is divided by the arms in the field, with '20' to the left and '00' to the right. The outer legend 'REPUBLIC OF LIBERIA' arcs around the upper periphery, and the denomination '25 DOLLARS' is inscribed in the lower exergue. A beaded border surrounds the entire design.
