Obverse description The obverse displays the official seal of the Republic of the Marshall Islands in high relief at center, depicting a frigate bird with outstretched wings above a traditional Marshallese canoe and palm-lined shoreline, with a radiant sun above and crossed traditional implements in the upper field. A chain-link border frames the entire design. The legend REPUBLIC OF THE MARSHALL ISLANDS arcs along the upper periphery, with the date 1988 flanking the word SEAL at the base of the central device, and the national motto JEPILPILIN KE EJUKAAN inscribed along the lower border.

Reverse description The reverse features a finely rendered figure of Olympic diving champion Greg Louganis in mid-dive, depicted in a tight pike position with exceptional anatomical detail against a mirror-polished field. The legend GREG LOUGANIS appears along the upper left periphery, and THE PERFECT 10 along the upper right, referencing his celebrated perfect scores at the 1988 Seoul Olympics. The denomination 25 DOLLARS is inscribed along the lower border, with a small engraver's mark visible at the base of the central figure.
