Aldabra is not a sovereign state — it is an atoll in the Seychelles, designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site, with no monetary authority of its own. Notes issued in its name are fantasy pieces, produced for the collectibles market rather than for any actual circulation. The "issuer" here is a commercial entity exploiting a geographic name, a practice that multiplied sharply after polymer substrate became accessible to small private mints in the 2010s.
