| Beschrijving voorzijde | The coat of arms of the Republic of Liberia is centrally depicted, featuring a shield with a sailing ship, a palm tree, and a rising sun, flanked by a plow and a spade below, surmounted by a dove in flight. The date 2002 is divided on either side of the arms in the lower field. The outer legend REPUBLIC OF LIBERIA arcs along the upper periphery, while the national motto THE LOVE OF LIBERTY BROUGHT US HERE appears on a scroll across the shield. A secondary legend REPUBLIC OF LIBERIA is inscribed on a banner beneath the arms. The design is framed by a beaded border. |

| Aanvullende informatie |
Liberia's early 2000s gold miniature series was a commercial product aimed squarely at the collector novelty market, with no connection to Liberian monetary history or circulation. These pieces were struck by private minting contractors and licensed through Liberia's government, which generated modest revenue by lending its issuing authority to themes — literary figures, world leaders, wildlife — chosen entirely for foreign retail appeal.
At 0.73 g, the gold content is nominal by any serious bullion standard.
