Obverse description Third-portrait effigy of Queen Elizabeth II facing right, wearing the George IV State Diadem adorned with floral emblems, with hair styled in curls and a drop earring visible. The legend BERMUDA appears along the left rim and ELIZABETH II along the right rim, in raised Latin letters. The portrait is the Maklouf effigy, rendered with fine detail against a mirror-polished proof field.

Reverse description Central design depicting a wild pig (feral hog) walking to the right, rendered within a beaded inner circle that replicates the style of the historic Bermuda 'Hogge Money' coinage of circa 1616. The legend SOMMERS ISLANDS arcs around the inner circle in the manner of the original coinage, with the Roman numeral III appearing above. The outer legend reads BERMUDA MONETARY AUTHORITY around the upper portion, and TWENTY FIVE DOLLARS 1990 along the lower portion, separated by small lozenge ornaments.
