| Obverse description | A highly detailed architectural rendering of the Memorial Amphitheater at Arlington National Cemetery dominates the field, depicted in fine relief with its classical Corinthian colonnade, pediment, and carved figurative frieze. A five-pointed star appears at the apex of the pediment, and the legend TOMB OF THE UNKNOWN SOLDIER curves along the upper periphery.
