Reverse description Central relief depiction of Disney's Princess Tiana, shown as a three-quarter bust facing slightly right, smiling and raising her right hand in greeting, wearing a floral-petal gown and a beaded necklace, with an elaborate headdress of stylized petals. Water lily blossoms and foliage are engraved in relief around the upper field and at her sides. The Disney logo and the character name TIANA appear in stylized lettering to the right of the figure. Along the lower right rim, the inscription COPYRIGHT DISNEY 1/4 oz 9999 Fine Gold denotes the coin's fineness and weight.

Additional information

Niue's licensing arrangement with the Walt Disney Company has produced dozens of bullion and collector issues since the early 2010s, with Tiana — introduced in the 2009 animated film — among the later additions to the program. The coins are legal tender of Niue but exist entirely as collectibles for the international market; the island's actual economy has relied on New Zealand dollars since 1969.

The .9999 fineness places this above the more common .999 standard, matching the Royal Canadian Mint's benchmark rather than Perth or the U.S. Mint.
