| Obverse description | Right-facing effigy of Queen Elizabeth II after the portrait by Ian Rank-Broadley, set within an arch-shaped flan that echoes the form of a Gothic reliquary. The legend ELIZABETH II arcs to the left and 25 DOLLARS COOK ISLANDS to the right of the portrait. Below the effigy appears the date 2016, and along the lower flat edge the individual serial number 003/999 is inscribed, followed by the weight and fineness statement 7.786=1/4OZ .9999 FINE GOLD. The coin's distinctive shaped outline is integral to the overall Shrine of the Three Kings series design. |
