| Beschrijving keerzijde | Conjoined busts of HRH Prince Charles and Lady Diana Spencer facing right, rendered in high relief against a mirror-polished field with radiating lines. The Jamaican coat of arms is depicted at the top of the field above the conjoined portraits. The denomination 25 DOLLARS arcs along the left periphery and ROYAL WEDDING along the right. | Aanvullende informatie |
Issued to mark the July 1981 marriage of Prince Charles and Lady Diana Spencer, this is one of the heaviest Commonwealth silver pieces struck for that event — a consequence of Jamaica's decision to produce a genuinely substantial commemorative rather than the lightweight issues many other territories issued. The .925 silver content and the sheer mass of the planchet put it closer to a medal than a coin in practical terms, and it almost certainly never circulated.
