| Beschrijving voorzijde | A high-relief antiqued field features a highly detailed depiction of the Hall of Prayer for Good Harvests — the iconic triple-eaved circular structure of Beijing's Temple of Heaven — dominating the lower and central portion of the design. The architecture is rendered with extraordinary sculptural precision, showcasing each tier of ornate eaves, decorative friezes, and the cylindrical base. To the upper left, the diademed and draped effigy of Queen Elizabeth II faces left, after the portrait by Ian Rank-Broadley, his initials IRB appearing below the bust. The field behind the temple is covered with a traditional wave or scale pattern, and a sinuous Chinese dragon is depicted in low relief to the right. The legend ELIZABETH II arcs along the upper left, COOK ISLANDS along the upper right, and 25 DOLLARS is inscribed vertically along the right border. |
