Obverse description Right-facing effigy of Queen Elizabeth II after the fourth definitive portrait by Ian Rank-Broadley, depicting the Queen wearing the Girls of Great Britain and Ireland tiara. The legend ELIZABETH II arcs along the left rim and NIUE along the upper rim, with the denomination 25 DOLLARS inscribed along the right rim. The date 2016 appears in the exergue below the portrait, and the engraver's initials IRB are visible at the base of the truncation.

Reverse description Central design depicts Mickey Mouse seated in the cockpit of a biplane, rendered in a style faithful to the original 1928 Walt Disney animated short film 'Plane Crazy.' Mickey is shown gripping the aircraft's control column with both gloved hands, his face turned toward the viewer with an expression of joyful determination. The scene is engraved in fine detail against a lightly textured field evoking the open sky. A curved legend along the right rim reads the purity, weight, copyright attribution to Disney, and the film title and year of release.
