The denomination 25 DOLLARS is inscribed in the central field between the two portraits. The peripheral legend reads EDWARD THE CONFESSOR · 1042–1066 arcing along the upper left and HAROLD · II · 1066 along the upper right, with a small cross pattée ornament at top right and another at the base.
