| Beschrijving keerzijde | A finely detailed antique flintlock pistol is depicted horizontally across the centre of the field, its ornate lock mechanism and stock rendered in high relief. Flanking the firearm on either side are symmetrical decorative cartouche elements incorporating stylised wind-blowing faces and foliate scrollwork, with a scallop shell at the apex and a winged motif at the base. The denomination legend TWENTY-FIVE appears in an arc above the pistol and DOLLARS curves below, completing the two-line inscription that frames the central device. |

The flintlock pistol series issued by the British Virgin Islands in the late 1980s capitalized on the territory's commercial licensing arrangements with the Franklin Mint and similar operators, who produced collector-oriented silver issues with Caribbean piracy themes largely for the international gift and novelty market. These pieces saw virtually no circulation and were sold almost exclusively through direct mail subscription programs.
