Beschrijving voorzijde At center, the fourth-generation effigy of Queen Elizabeth II faces right, wearing the Girls of Great Britain and Ireland tiara, as designed by Ian Rank-Broadley, whose initials IRB appear below the truncation. The legend ELIZABETH II arcs to the left and SOLOMON ISLANDS to the upper right, with the denomination 25 DOLLARS to the right and the fineness 2 oz Au .9999 inscribed below the portrait. The central portrait area is framed by an ornate raised decorative border of scrolling foliate relief. The outer border of the coin, rendered with a black proof finish, carries the Confucian quotation THE MAN WHO MOVES A MOUNTAIN BEGINS BY CARRYING AWAY SMALL STONES in raised Latin lettering around the full circumference.

Beschrijving keerzijde At the center of the reverse, a finely detailed portrait bust of Confucius faces slightly left in high relief within a circular aperture. Surrounding this central portrait is an inset annular disc of genuine jade, inscribed with the legend 2500 YEARS CONFUCIUS in raised Latin lettering. The jade bi-disc is itself set within an ornately engraved gold field depicting scenes from the life and teachings of Confucius in classical Chinese pictorial style. Four Confucian virtues are inscribed in Chinese characters at the cardinal points of the border: 義 (righteousness) to the upper left, 禮 (ritual propriety) to the upper right, 信 (integrity) to the lower left, and 智 (wisdom) to the lower center. The name 孔子 (Confucius) appears in Chinese characters at the top of the field, and the date 2021 is inscribed at the bottom.
