| 裏面の説明 | The reverse features a colorized scene from the celebrated Soviet animated film series produced by Soyuzmultfilm, depicting the three principal characters: the elderly Shapoklyak with her rat on a leash at left, the large-eared Cheburashka prominently centered in the foreground, and Gena the Crocodile dressed in his characteristic red coat at right. A heart-shaped legend cartouche in the upper central field bears the inscribed motto in Cyrillic. The background is engraved with a townscape of a house and trees, while the three character names arc along the upper border in Cyrillic script. The colorized figures are applied in full polychrome, contrasting vividly with the proof silver field. |

Cheburashka is a Soviet-era cartoon character created by Eduard Uspensky, first appearing in his 1966 children's story and later immortalized in the stop-motion animation series produced by Soyuzmultfilm between 1969 and 1983. The character became so embedded in Russian cultural identity that the Russian Olympic team adopted it as their unofficial mascot starting with the 2004 Athens Games. Cook Islands has long issued large-format silver pieces aimed squarely at the collector and novelty market, and this coin belongs to that tradition — licensed popular culture pressed into five-ounce bullion format for display rather than circulation.
