Obverse description The complete national coat of arms of Barbados occupies the central field, featuring a quartered shield adorned with bearded fig tree motifs, supported on the dexter by a dolphin and on the sinister by a pelican. Above the shield rises a helmet surmounted by a hand grasping two crossed sugarcane stalks. Below the arms, a scroll ribbon bears the national motto legend PRIDE AND INDUSTRY. The country name BARBADOS arcs along the upper periphery in bold raised lettering, with an inner beaded border encircling the entire design.
