Opmerkingen

The Cayman Islands Monetary Authority replaced the Currency Board structure in 1997, but note series transitions lagged behind — the C Series, introduced in the early 2000s, was the first to carry dual CIMA signatures rather than Board member signatories. The two-signature configuration on this particular issue reflects that institutional shift more than any change in monetary policy.

De La Rue has printed Cayman currency continuously since the islands first issued their own notes in 1972, an unusually long unbroken relationship for a jurisdiction this size.
