| Beschrijving voorzijde | Sixth and final effigy of Queen Elizabeth II, designed by Jody Clark, depicted in right-facing profile bust with the Queen wearing the George IV State Diadem, pearl drop earrings, and a pearl necklace. The engraver's initials 'JC' appear in the lower left field. The legend 'ELIZABETH II' arcs along the upper periphery, with 'AUSTRALIA' continuing to the right, while the denomination '25 DOLLARS' is inscribed along the lower arc, all within a raised border. The portrait is rendered with exceptional detail, capturing the texture of the crown's gemstones and the Queen's curled hair. |

| Aanvullende informatie |
Australia's gold kangaroo bullion series, launched in 1986 as the "Nugget" before rebranding in 1989, was a deliberate challenge to South Africa's Krugerrand dominance in the international bullion market. The Perth Mint's decision to change the reverse design annually — unlike the static Krugerrand — was a calculated marketing move to drive collector demand alongside investment buying. It worked: the series is now among the top five best-selling gold bullion programs globally by cumulative ounces sold.
The sixth portrait of Elizabeth II, by Jody Clark, was adopted by the Perth Mint in 2019, later than most Commonwealth mints.
