| Obverse description | The obverse displays the complete Arms of Jamaica at center, featuring a quartered shield bearing five pineapples above and three pineapples below on a cross, surmounted by a royal helmet and mantling with a crocodile atop a plumed royal crown as crest. The shield is supported on the dexter side by a female Taíno figure holding a basket of fruit and on the sinister side by a male Taíno figure holding a spear. A scroll below the shield bears the national motto in the legend. The country name JAMAICA arcs along the upper periphery, while the denomination TWENTY FIVE DOLLARS and the date 2011 are inscribed along the lower left and right fields respectively. |
