| 正面描述 | Unadorned effigy of King Charles III facing left, modelled by engraver Darryl Trefry, whose initials 'DT' appear in small characters at the truncation of the bust. The king is depicted without crown or regalia, wearing a suit collar, in a restrained and contemporary portrait style. The legend 'CHARLES III AUSTRALIA' arcs around the upper field, with the denomination '25 DOLLARS' inscribed along the lower arc, all separated by raised dot stops. |

The Welcome Stranger nugget, found near Moliagul in Victoria in February 1869 by John Deason and Richard Oates, weighed in at 2,316 troy ounces before smelting — the largest alluvial gold nugget ever recorded. It was found just two inches below the surface after decades of the same ground being worked over.
This is the first Australian Nugget issue to bear the Jody Clark effigy of Charles III, following the transition from the long-running Raphael Maklouf and Ian Rank-Broadley portraits used under Elizabeth II.
