| Obverse description | Close-up frontal effigy of the Statue of Liberty, her radiate crown with seven rays occupying the upper half of the field, her draped shoulders visible at lower center. The legend LIBERTY arcs along the upper border, intersected by the radiating spikes of the crown. The date 2007 appears at center right, with the motto IN GOD WE TRUST inscribed in three lines below it. The inscription E PLURIBUS UNUM curves along the lower left border. The design, engraved by John M. Mercanti, captures Liberty's serene, forward-facing expression with finely detailed hair and drapery rendered in high relief. |
