| Obverse description | The Barbados coat of arms is displayed within a central raised circular cartouche at the centre of the field. The shield features a bearded fig tree flanked by a dolphin and a pelican as supporters, surmounted by an arm holding two crossed pieces of sugarcane, with the motto scroll reading PRIDE AND INDUSTRY below. The surrounding field is decorated with an elaborate guilloché pattern interspersed with stylised outline silhouettes of iconic Parisian landmarks, rendered in high relief against a darkened background. The legend BARBADOS appears in the upper arc of the cartouche, while the denomination 25 DOLLARS and the fineness and weight specifications 1kg and Ag 999 are inscribed in the lower portion of the cartouche. |
